“Tinubu Doesn’t Need to Campaign in Kogi, There’s No Opposition” – Yahaya Bello
Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello on Saturday declared that President Bola Tinubu does not need to campaign in Kogi State ahead of the 2027 general elections, insisting there is no opposition in the state.
Speaking at an endorsement rally held to drum up support for President Tinubu and Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo’s second-term ambitions, Bello expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would secure an overwhelming victory.
“President Tinubu, you don’t even need to come to Kogi State to campaign in 2027. There is no opposition in Kogi State,” Bello said to cheering supporters. “Those who are making noise somewhere have not seen the lion. When the lion roars, they will run with their tails.”
Bello praised President Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as a unifying figure who commands national respect. He also commended the president for what he called significant achievements in infrastructure, appointments, and security across Kogi State.
“We thank the president for all the good things he has done for us— infrastructural development, appointments, fighting insecurity, and more resources,” Bello said. “Your son, Ododo, is doing excellently well, and under the APC, we shall get to the promised land.”
The former governor concluded by offering prayers for President Tinubu and Governor Ododo, wishing them long life, sound health, and continued success in office.
