Certificate Saga: Obi Reacts to Atiku’s Call for Synergy

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has responded to an appeal by Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, urging him to join the legal battle challenging President Tinubu’s credentials. Obi has reaffirmed his unwavering focus on reclaiming his allegedly stolen mandate at the Supreme Court.

Obi’s response was conveyed through a statement released by the National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Obiora Ifoh, on Thursday. According to the statement, Obi is currently engaged in a legal battle at the Supreme Court to regain what he believes to be his rightfully won mandate, and this remains his top priority.

The statement from Ifoh also highlighted Obi’s dedication to the pursuit of justice and his commitment to fostering a just and honorable nation. It emphasized that Obi has consistently advocated for leaders to be role models and to lead lives that set examples worth emulating. As a testament to this commitment, Obi has openly presented his credentials for verification, setting a standard for transparency in leadership.

Ifoh stated, “Nigeria will get better when men of integrity and honor drive the affairs of the nation. We, therefore, welcome every other interest willing to join us in our pursuit of a nation where justice shall reign.”

The response from Peter Obi makes it clear that, at least for the time being, his primary focus remains on the legal battle in the Supreme Court, where he hopes to reclaim what he believes to be his stolen mandate. This development underscores the intensity of the ongoing political and legal landscape in Nigeria as various stakeholders jostle for position and justice in the pursuit of their political ambitions.
