Tinubu Approves Recruitment of 30,000 Police Officers Annually
Minister of Police Affairs Ibrahim Gaidam has revealed that the federal government has approved the recruitment of 30,000 polices officers annually for the next five years to enhance national security and maintain law and order.
Gaidam revealed this while speaking at the police academy where he visited to monitor the ongoing screening of prospective officers.
This was made known via a video shared on the X handle of Channels TV on Monday, December 9.
He said: “Because the number of police being recruited,10,000 is not enough to cover all the states, so the president has given approval of 30,000 police men annually for the next five to six years.
“I believe if this is done, by the end of the year we should be able to get enough number of police men to take care of our security challenges in this country.”
