“Tinubu Approved Security Budget by January, We Don’t Expect Everyone to Be Secure by April” – Senator Jimoh Ibrahim

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing Ondo South, has urged Nigerians to be patient with the government’s security efforts, emphasizing that immediate results should not be expected. Speaking in an interview with Arise TV ahead of the upcoming national security summit convened by the Senate, Ibrahim said it is unrealistic to expect nationwide security improvements just months after President Bola Tinubu approved the security budget in January.

He pointed out that Tinubu has been in office for less than two years and stressed that national security is a gradual process that requires collective effort. “The President passed the security budget in January. We don’t expect everyone to be secure by April,” the senator stated. “He’s not been president for up to two years, and every Nigerian should also know that they owe themselves the responsibility of securing themselves.”
