Tinubu Appoints Two More FCCPC Executive Commissioners
President Bola Tinubu has nominated Louis Odion as executive commissioner for Operations and Ummasalma Isiyaku Rabiu as executive commissioner for Corporate Services at the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC). The announcement, made in a statement signed by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, noted that the appointments are subject to Senate confirmation in line with the FCCPC Act, 2018.
Odion, from Edo State, is a veteran journalist and former senior technical assistant on media to ex-Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. He also served as Edo State commissioner for information. He holds two master’s degrees, one in Modern War Studies from the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom and another in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.
Rabiu, 35, from Kano State, is the founder of the Usir Foundation, a non-profit organisation focused on education, skills development and humanitarian support for underprivileged communities. A grassroots politician, she is known for promoting inclusive governance and encouraging youth and women’s political participation. She holds a degree in Business Administration.
