The Church of the Lord “Chapel of Success” Somolu recently celebrated it’s 63rd Anniversary to the glory of God.
The event included the commissioning and dedication of an ultra modern hall and the Church faith home.
It was also a day set aside to remember some members of the Church who had passed on but had at one point or the other contributed immensely to the growth of the Church.
Some of the persons remembered include: Late Arch Deacon General Johnson Amokunmosa and Late Reverend Mother Mary Amokunmosa the Pioneers of the Church, Late Pastor Architect Olusegun Onasanya, Late National Deacon and Late Mrs Dairo, Late Deaconess Deborah Solaja, Late Elder Gabriel Salami, Late Deacon Tunde Jinadu, Late Deaconess Adekoya and Late Barrister Femi Shoname to mention but a few.
The event also featured the unveiling of the Choir Ministry’s “Project Rebirth” by Archbishop D.A Fabusoro, the Administrator General of the Church who ably represented His Holiness, Most Rev (Dr) R.O Ositelu the Primate of the Church of the Lord Worldwide.
The Choirmaster, Bro Bola Awotugase who explained the rationale behind “Project Rebirth” stated that there was the dire need to transform the church into a “Rejuvenated Production Room” with Heavenly Ambience, with the choir’s ultimate view of producing Heaven Bound Individuals.
He stated that the transformation would include, the restructuring of church musical instruments, equipment and the redesigning of the aesthetics of the church.
He further stated that, the whole project would be in phases with a total cost of about N18million.
He however called on all and sundry to partner and support the project through their donations, which would be very highly appreciated.
In response after the Unveiling, the Administrator General lauded the project, stating that he supported the project from the outset as it is in line with part of his personal dreams for the global Church, he urged everyone to partner and support the project.
The Minister-in-charge of the Church, Venerable Deborah Olatunji thanked everyone for the success of the anniversary and prayed for God’s blessings in all ramifications for all members of the church and guests.
