Teenager Arrested for Allegedly Killing Parents, Two Brothers
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in New Mexico after allegedly killing four members of his family. The incident occurred on Saturday when Valencia County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the teenager, who claimed he had killed his family members.
When deputies arrived at the residence in Belen, the teenager, visibly intoxicated, emerged from the home with his hands raised. Inside, officers discovered the bodies of Leonardo Leyva, 42, Adriana Bencomo, 35, Adrian Leyva, 16, and Alexander Leyva, 14, all of whom had suffered suspected gunshot wounds. A handgun was found on the kitchen table.
The victims were identified as the suspect’s parents and two brothers. The teenager has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder.
