Super Eagles Forward Survives Serious Car Accident
Super Eagles forward and former Akwa United star Mfon Udoh is recovering after surviving a serious car accident on Thursday. Although specific details of the crash are still unclear, early reports confirm that the 32-year-old’s vehicle was badly damaged in the incident.
Udoh, who holds the record for the most goals scored in a single Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, received prompt medical attention and is currently under observation by healthcare professionals. His condition is reported to be stable.
Rising to national prominence with Enyimba in 2014, Udoh set a league record by scoring 23 goals in a single NPFL campaign. He later played for Akwa United and also spent time in the United States with FC Tulsa in the USL Championship. He was the top scorer in the 2016 CAF Champions League with nine goals and earned caps for the Super Eagles during the CHAN qualifiers and international friendlies in 2016.
