Soaring Fuel Cost: ‘I now Spend N3m Monthly on Diesel’ Rudeboy Cries Out
In a recent social media outpouring, renowned musician Paul Okoye, famously known as Rudeboy from the iconic Psquare duo, has highlighted his growing apprehension about the challenging economic climate, with particular emphasis on the steep rise in petroleum product prices.
The artist behind the chart-topping hit “Reason With Me” reminisced about acquiring his very first car several years ago for a meager N120,000. However, in a striking commentary on the current state of affairs, he disclosed that he now finds himself shelling out an astounding N3 million on diesel each month.
Taking to his Instagram story, Rudeboy didn’t mince words in labeling the economic situation as nothing short of “total madness.” He also extended his heartfelt sympathy to those less fortunate, recognizing the immense difficulties they must be grappling with.
“I bought my first car 120k naira years back, and I was very proud of that… Now I spend 3m naira on diesel for just a month… Total madness. Only God knows what a common man is going through,” he penned in his candid message.
Rudeboy’s candid revelation serves as a stark reminder of the pressing economic concerns that continue to affect countless individuals across the nation.
