Simon Ekpa is a Rascal, Finland Should Sustain His Detention – Catholic Bishop
The Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Jonas Benson, has called on the Finnish government to extend the detention of Simon Ekpa, a key figure in the Biafra separatist movement.
Bishop Benson condemned Ekpa’s actions, describing him as a “rascal” whose activities, he claims, have caused significant harm to the people of Igbo land. The bishop’s remarks were made during the funeral of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah in Anambra State.
Ekpa, who has been vocal in his support for the secession of Biafra, has faced significant backlash from various Nigerian leaders, including religious figures like Bishop Benson, who argue that his actions are destabilizing the region.
