“Show Respect, Vote APC for Tinubu” — Ganduje Urges Ondo Electorate
Ahead of the upcoming Ondo State gubernatorial election on November 16, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has urged Ondo’s electorate to demonstrate respect and solidarity with President Bola Tinubu by voting for the APC. Addressing supporters in Akure on Monday, Ganduje highlighted the importance of backing the ruling party to continue advancing national reforms under Tinubu’s administration.
The APC leader was speaking during the inauguration of a 305-member National Campaign Council designed to steer the party’s electoral efforts in Ondo. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been appointed as chairman of the council, while Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi and Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River will serve as Deputy Chairmen 1 and 2, respectively. Senator Ovie Omo-Agege will assume the role of Secretary.
Handing over operational tools to the campaign team, Ganduje called for a seamless partnership between the national and local campaign councils, emphasizing, “This council will work closely with the local campaign council to create a powerful synergy for success on election day.”
Ganduje underscored the relevance of voting along party lines, noting that Ondo State is within the same geopolitical zone as President Tinubu, and that aligning support with the President’s party would showcase the region’s appreciation for his social and economic reforms. “The President is actively pursuing social and economic investment reforms for the nation,” he said. “In respect for these efforts and to show appreciation, we encourage you to vote for the APC.”
