Seven-Month-Old Baby Dies After Being Mauled by Family Dog
A seven-month-old baby girl has lost her life after being mauled by a family dog in Coventry.
Emergency services responded swiftly to the distress call from a residence on Shorncliffe Road around 3pm on Sunday. Despite immediate medical intervention at the scene, the infant sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.
West Midlands Police confirmed the devastating news, expressing their condolences to the grieving family. They stated, “A baby has tragically died after being bitten by a pet dog at a home in Coventry. Our thoughts remain with her family at this devastating time.”
Following the incident, the dog involved, which does not belong to a breed classified as dangerous, was euthanized, as reported by The Sun.
