Scandal Behind Bars: Female Prison Officer Charged with having Sexual Affairs with Two Inmates Simultaneously
A 23-year-old female prison officer, Isabelle Dale, has been charged with engaging in sexual relationships with two inmates at the same time. Dale, from Portsmouth, is also accused of conspiring to smuggle drugs into a high-security prison where one of her lovers, 33-year-old Shahid Sharif, was incarcerated.
The second inmate involved, 28-year-old Connor Money, was serving a nine-year sentence for killing his best friend in a car crash while fleeing from the police at 147 mph. Money is not facing any charges in connection with his relationship with Dale.
Dale faces two counts of misconduct in public office, accused of having inappropriate sexual relationships with the two men between September 2021 and the end of 2022. She is also charged with conspiring to smuggle drugs into Swaleside prison on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, where Sharif was held.
Dale’s alleged accomplice, 27-year-old Lilea Sallis, from Brighton, is charged with conspiracy to help smuggle drugs into the prison for Sharif. Sharif himself is charged with conspiring to have drugs smuggled into the jail and possessing a mobile phone in his cell at both Brixton and Swaleside prisons.
The case was heard at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, where Dale, Sallis, and Sharif appeared via video link from Manchester prison. Judge Adrian Turner allowed both Dale and Sallis to remain on bail, with conditions that they must not communicate with each other or with Sharif. A further hearing is scheduled for next month at Inner London Crown Court.
