Recently sacked NDDC Chairman Joy Nunieh has made very strong allegation against the minister of the Niger Delta Godswill Akpabio.
Speaking to journalists as she arrived late for the hearing at the National Assembly, Nunieh claimed that Akpabio had warned her when she was sworn in that if she failed to play by his rules, she would be sacked.
Nunieh also claimed Akpabio instructed her to engage in various acts of corrupt practices, including converting US dollars in NDDC account to Naira, recruiting without due process, contract splitting etc
She also said he tried to coerce her to implicate Senator Nwaoboshi by writing a letter falsely claiming that he had received contracts in NDDC.
When she objected Cairo Ojouboh is said to have offered to write and sign the letter. Cairo is quoted as saying: “If Akpabio asks me to kill, I will do it without asking questions.”
Akpabio is also accused of trying to force her to take an oath.
Just at the tail end of the interview, a man turned up and disrupted the interview.
