Public Outcry as Abuja Church General-Overseer Evicts Family from Home Without Notice
Pastor Stanley Ogbonna, the General Overseer of the God’s Spring Assembly, also known as the Glass Church in Kubwa, Abuja, has reportedly evicted his estranged wife, Chioma, and their six children from their home.
The marital discord between Ogbonna and Chioma has been public for some time, culminating in their divorce. During the legal proceedings, Ogbonna allegedly claimed to have sold his properties to prevent Chioma from claiming a share of his assets.
A viral video circulating on social media on Tuesday shows Chioma accusing Ogbonna of infidelity and domestic abuse. She recounted her 18 to 19 years of marriage, during which she claims to have supported Ogbonna and raised their six children. Chioma described how Ogbonna, accompanied by police, forcibly removed her and their children from the house without prior notice.
“Look at me, look at my properties all outside unannounced. We were in the house this afternoon; he just came to the house with the police and threw my things away,” Chioma said in the video. “This is the pastor, Stanley Ogbonna. He feels nobody will speak for me. Jehovah will speak for me.”
Efforts to reach Pastor Ogbonna and the church for comments on these allegations were unsuccessful. The church’s contact number was unreachable, and emails sent to the church have not been answered at the time of this report.
