The Primate of the Church of the Lord Worldwide, His Holiness Most Rev Dr Rufus Okikiola Olubiyi Ositelu, has Commiserated with the family of the late Ologere of Ogere, Oba Oladele Ogunbade (Agbejoye II) who joined his ancestors on 11th of April, 2022.

The Primate in a letter to the family, extolled the virtues of Oba Ogunbade who was on the throne for 38years, describing his reign as an unforgettable period that would leave great and indelible landmarks among the people of Ogere in Remo Ogun State.

The Primate admonished the family and prayed that God in His infinite mercies and unfathomable love will grant the Royal family and people of Ogere, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He also prayed that the gentle soul of the Kabiyesi would rest in perfect peace with light perpetual shinning on him.

The full text of the Primate’s letter titled “Translation of Alaiyeluwa Oba Oladele Ogunbade – Letter of Condolence.

“I write on behalf of the distinguished Prelates and other Ministers, the entire Congregation of THE CHURCH OF THE LORD Worldwide and my humble self, to commiserate with the AGBEJOYE ROYAL FAMILY and the entire people of Ogere Remo, home and abroad over the translation of your Father, Uncle and Grand Father, His Royal Majesty, OBA OLADELE OGUNBADE, The Ologere of Ogere Remo, who was announced to have joined his ancestors on Monday 11th April, 2022.”

“While we acknowledge that it is no doubt a period of grief for the Royal family, we encourage you to be filled with joy that the late Ologere, who reign on the throne of his fore-fathers for 38 years with great and indelible landmark among his people, lived for 85 years before taking his exit peacefully from this sinful world to return to his maker.”

“HRM Oba Oladele Ogunbade was a great lover and Patron of our Church Organization who cherished his relationship with the Church to the last minute of his living on earth.”

“The Late Ologere would be remembered for being father to all his subjects and a sincere and selfless leader who puts the interest of his subject above his personal interest.”

“He will be missed by all members of the Royal family, the people of Ogere Community and everyone who came in contact with him and whose life were impacted positively one way or another during his life and reign.”

“I want to admonish you to take solace in the Scripture which says, “BLESSED ARE THE DEAD WHICH DIE IN THE LORD FROM NOW ON, YES, SAYS THE SPIRIT, “THEY WILL REST FROM THEIR LABOUR, FOR THEIR DEEDS WILL FOLLOW THEM” (Rev. 14:13).”

I pray that God in His infinite “mercies and unfathomable love will grant the Royal family and people of the town, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and may the gentle soul of the Kabiyesi rest in perfect peace with light perpetual shinning on him.”

Yours in the Service of God and Humanity,
