President Bola Tinubu has made a significant appointment in the administration of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority by naming Chukwuemeka Woke as its new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer. Chukwuemeka Woke brings a blend of engineering expertise and political acumen to his new position, having previously held key roles in both spheres. Notably, he served as the chairman of the Emohua local government area in Rivers State and also held the position of Chief of Staff at the Government House in Port Harcourt for an extensive period.
In the statement released, President Tinubu emphasized his confidence in Woke’s capabilities, expecting him to uphold integrity and transparency while leveraging the water resources of the region for comprehensive industrial, agricultural, and community development.
This appointment is viewed as a strategic move aimed at fostering the growth and prosperity of the Ogun-Osun River Basin and its adjoining communities.
