Police Launch Investigation into Alleged Kidnapping, Organ Harvesting at Imo Hotel

The Imo State Police Command has begun a full-scale investigation into allegations of kidnapping and organ harvesting at H&C Hotel, located in Irete, Owerri West Local Government Area.

The probe follows the circulation of a viral video alleging that the hotel was involved in criminal activities linked to human trafficking and organ removal.

Confirming the development in a statement on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Henry Okoye, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the claims.

According to Okoye, the owner of the hotel, Mr. Allwell Onyedikachi Mmaduabuchi, has been invited for questioning. Efforts are also underway to locate the individual who made the viral allegations in order to obtain credible evidence that will aid the ongoing inquiry.

“The hotel owner, Mr. Allwell Onyedikachi Mmaduabuchi, has been invited by the police for questioning, while efforts are ongoing to locate and invite the individual who made the allegations to substantiate his claims with credible evidence,” Okoye said.

He assured the public that the Command is treating the case with the seriousness it deserves. “The case is receiving utmost attention, and all necessary investigative actions are being taken to ascertain the authenticity of the information contained in the viral video,” he added.

Okoye emphasized that the police remain committed to ensuring justice and maintaining public trust.

“The Command remains steadfast in upholding the rule of law, ensuring justice without fear or favour, and maintaining public confidence in its commitment to safety and transparency. The Command is on top of the situation,” he said.

The police also urged residents to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information as investigations continue.
