Plus-Size Model and Actress Monalisa Stephen Dies After Health Battle
Nigerian plus-size model and Nollywood actress, Monalisa Ayobami Stephen, has passed away. The news was confirmed by Seun Oloketuyi, Chief Executive Officer of Best of Nollywood (BON), in an Instagram post on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
According to Oloketuyi, Monalisa died on Tuesday, May 13, in Lagos, following complications related to low blood sugar and internal bleeding. Her passing was confirmed by her immediate younger sister.
Described as a hardworking and beautiful soul, Monalisa Stephen was known not only for her work in Nollywood but also as a brand influencer and advocate for body positivity.
