Photos: Chicago State University Releases Tinubu’s Academic Records to Atiku
Chicago State University (CSU) has finally released President Bola Tinubu’s school records to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). This marks a crucial victory for Atiku in his determined legal battle to investigate Tinubu’s academic qualifications in connection with the February 25 presidential election.
Tinubu had submitted certificates from CSU to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as part of his eligibility requirements for participating in the election. However, a United States court recently ordered CSU to release Tinubu’s academic records to support Atiku’s petition challenging the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.
Justice Nancy Maldonado, in a significant judgment, dismissed Tinubu’s objections to Atiku’s request and explicitly directed CSU to provide Atiku with the academic records he sought. Complying with the court’s order, the university released the documents on Monday night.
