PDP National Zoning Committee: Ayo Fayose, Jumoke Akinjide, Engr Adedeji Doherty and Taofeek Arapaja make list

The outgoing Chairman of the Lagos State People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Engr Adedeji Doherty, former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, former Minister of State for the FCT, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide and the present Vice Chairman of the Southwest, Amb Taofeek Arapaja have been nominated into the National Zoning Committee of the party.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at it’s 93rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at its WADATA Plaza Secretariat in Abuja announced the composition of a 128-member National Convention Organising Committee and a 44-member National Zoning Committee.

The National Convention Organising Committee is headed by Ahmadu Fintiri, the Governor of Adamawa State, with Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State his deputy.

The National Zoning Committee which is saddled with the major responsibility of working out a zoning formula for positions in the party is headed by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State with Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State as his deputy and Barr Ibrahim Garba as the Administrative Secretary

It is believed that the National Convention of the party will hold on the 30th and 31st of October to elect new members of the National Working Committee (NEC) and chart a way forward for the party.
