Osinbajo did not give us money for “fuelling” – Osun Delegates
Delegates for the ruling All Progressives Party in Osun have complained over Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s lack of financial compensation during his visit to the state.
Isiaka Ayodele Owoade, a special adviser to state governor Gboyega Oyetola, took to his Facebook page to complain about delegates not receiving money for fuel from Mr Osinbajo.
“A painful takeaway from the visit is that PYO should forget Osun when adding up his potential delegates. The rejection was quite point blank. I think he got the message and took his dollars back with him. He didn’t give us ‘petrol’ money, an unforgiving behaviour unexpected of a presidential aspirant,” Mr Owoade mused on his social media page.
On Friday, Mr Osinbajo visited Osun and its party delegates as part of his national consultation visit ahead of the presidential primaries. He also visited the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, who wished him well on his presidential ambition.
Mr Osinbajo said it would be an injustice if he did not contest the 2023 election with his vast experience in the last seven years in office.
