Only Coalition Can Unseat Tinubu in 2027 – Dele Momodu
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has stated that only a coalition of political parties can unseat President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027. Momodu made this submission while featuring on a Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State programme in Ibadan.
According to Momodu, the PDP is currently facing internal challenges and external forces working against its stability and progress. He noted that a disunited PDP cannot wrest power from the APC in 2027, adding that the ruling party’s ideology is to weaken the main opposition party.
Momodu emphasized that a formidable team and coalition would be necessary to remove President Tinubu in 2027. He also suggested that a presidential candidate from a different region in Nigeria could have a better chance of contesting favourably against the current president.
Momodu expressed his disillusionment with the PDP, stating that his “soul has already left the party, while only his body remained.”
