Oba 2027: Onitsha North and South APC Stakeholders Sign Nomination Forms for Preferred Aspirant, Egoigwe

Stakeholders and delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency have signed nomination and endorsement forms in support of Hon. Nnamdi Egoigwe (Ozo Mkpu) ahead of the party’s House of Representatives primaries.

The exercise, which involved delegates from all 32 wards in the constituency, featured coordinated endorsements by party members who publicly affirmed their preference for Egoigwe as the APC aspirant.

Some stakeholders described the process as a reflection of collective sentiment within the party structure in the constituency, noting that the engagement was driven by internal consultations and shared political interests ahead of the primaries.

A party stakeholder who participated in the exercise said, “We are voting our conviction. People are tired of promises that do not reflect in their daily lives. This is why we are making our position clear now.”

Another delegate stated, “This is the first time many of us are openly coming together this way. It shows that the decision is not imposed; it is coming from the grassroots.”

Others linked their support to concerns about representation and constituency development, arguing that a more responsive leadership approach was needed.

Speaking after receiving the endorsements, Egoigwe expressed appreciation to party members across the wards for their support and participation.

He said, *“I see your signatures, but more importantly I see your expectations. I see the traders, the youths, the families who want better representation. What you have done today is not just political; it is a responsibility you have placed on me.”*

He further added, *“If given the mandate, I will ensure inclusion, accessibility, and a stronger connection between the people and their representation. This is about service, not position.”*

The endorsement exercise is expected to influence political alignments within the APC in Onitsha North and South as the party moves toward its primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
