“Nobody Can Stop Tinubu’s Re-election in 2027” – Jandor Declares at APC Rally
Former Lagos PDP governorship candidate and leader of the Lagos4Lagos movement, Mr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is inevitable if he chooses to run. Speaking during a rally in Ojo, Lagos, on Friday to formally announce his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adediran said recent reforms by President Tinubu and a wave of defections into the party have cemented his support for the president’s second term.
Adediran, who resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party on March 3, said his decision to return to the APC was driven by the conviction that the president’s people-focused policies were already yielding positive results. He specifically praised the removal of fuel subsidy, calling it a bold and selfless move that demonstrated Tinubu’s commitment to national progress rather than political gain.
“Our conviction to come back home is a result of the reforms that Mr. President is doing,” he said. “The removal of fuel subsidy makes Tinubu a selfless President because he would have ordinarily allowed the status quo to remain to secure a second term in office.”
He emphasized that his immediate assignment was to work tirelessly towards Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, stating, “We are going to do everything humanly possible to make sure we work for his re-election. Our priority is to ensure that we see to how this man will return in 2027 to further reposition the country.”
Reflecting on his 2023 gubernatorial bid under the PDP, Adediran said although he did not emerge victorious, the campaign opened political opportunities for the people of the Badagry division within the APC.
Welcoming Adediran and his team back to the APC, Lagos State party chairman Cornelius Ojelabi expressed pride in their return and urged party leaders to embrace them fully. Also present at the rally, Ojo Local Government chairman Olushola Idowu described Adediran’s return as a strategic gain for the APC in the area and encouraged members to receive him warmly.
Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Kayode Robert, praised Adediran’s courage in rejoining the party, calling it a commendable and timGvely decision.
