No Ceasefire in Gaza, Israel Affirms Amidst 10-Day Conflict with Hamas
In a decisive announcement today, Israel has firmly denied any existence of a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict with Hamas, despite rumors circulating to the contrary. This declaration comes as the conflict has raged on for ten days, with no immediate resolution in sight.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office issued an official statement addressing the widespread reports of a potential ceasefire in Gaza, which would facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid and the evacuation of foreigners. “There is currently no ceasefire and humanitarian aid in Gaza in return for removing foreigners,” stated the release from the office of the Israeli Prime Minister.
As the conflict continues to unfold, the Gaza health ministry reported a grim development. The death toll attributed to Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip has climbed to approximately 2,750 individuals since the initiation of hostilities, following Hamas’s deadly attack on southern Israel last week. Additionally, an alarming figure of 9,700 people has been injured, as Israel sustains its relentless air campaign against numerous targets within the Palestinian coastal enclave, under the control of Hamas.
The situation remains tense, with international observers closely monitoring developments in the region as hopes for a ceasefire and humanitarian relief persist amidst the ongoing violence.
