“No Arrests, No Answers — Something Isn’t Adding Up,” Falz Says as He Questions Government’s Handling of Mass Kidnappings

Nigerian rapper and activist Falz has once again taken aim at the government, raising sharp questions over the handling of recent mass abductions. His comments followed the president’s announcement that all 38 church members kidnapped in Kwara had regained their freedom, alongside 50 of the more than 300 victims abducted in Niger State.

Falz said the updates leave troubling gaps, noting that no suspects have been arrested and no explanations offered about how the victims were recovered. He criticised what he described as a pattern of shallow responses to serious national crises, arguing that citizens must move beyond momentary online reactions.

According to him, some Nigerians have already reached out about organising a peaceful protest, an idea he supports, but he urged for immediate civic pressure before any demonstration. He called on citizens to contact their lawmakers through every available channel with a unified demand for accountability.

Falz urged the National Assembly to hold a public hearing broadcast nationwide, seeking clarity on why large security budgets yield so little while soldiers remain poorly equipped and criminal groups continue to overpower military convoys. He also questioned the lack of consequences after a serving general was killed on camera, saying the silence reflects a deeper failure of responsibility.
