NNPC Reassures Nigerians: No Planned Increase in PMS Price
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has moved to quell concerns over rising fuel costs, affirming that there are no immediate plans for a hike in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
In a statement released by Chief Corporate Communications Officer Olufemi Soneye, the NNPC dismissed speculative rumors and urged Nigerians to disregard any misinformation regarding an impending price surge. Soneye emphasized that the company has no intentions of revising the current PMS price.
Furthermore, the NNPC advised motorists across the nation to avoid succumbing to panic buying, assuring them of the current ample availability of PMS throughout the country. As of the latest update, there is no cause for concern, and consumers are encouraged to rely on accurate information from official sources.
