NNPC Board Makes Key Leadership Appointments

The Board of Directors of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has announced several high-profile appointments aimed at bolstering operational efficiency and strategic oversight within the organization. Adedapo Segun has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), while Isiyaku Abdullahi steps into the role of Executive Vice President (EVP) Downstream, and Udobong Ntia has been named EVP Upstream.

The NNPC’s spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, released a statement on Wednesday underscoring the strategic nature of these appointments, emphasizing the company’s dedication to reinforcing corporate governance and enhancing its leadership capacity. According to Soneye, these changes reflect NNPC Ltd.’s commitment to assembling a unified leadership team to drive the company’s strategic goals and ensure its long-term success within Nigeria’s critical energy sector.

Adedapo Segun, previously EVP Downstream, has been recognized for his impactful contributions to NNPC’s downstream operations, a division responsible for refining, distribution, and retail. The transition to CFO marks a new chapter in his career as he takes on the task of overseeing NNPC’s financial strategy.
