“Nine Out of Ten Sexual Assault Cases in My Ministry Turned Out False” – Pastor Emmanuel Iren
Lead Pastor of Celebration Church International, Emmanuel Iren, has spoken out about sexual assault allegations reported within his ministry, expressing concern over the growing number of false accusations. In a recent video, Iren disclosed that out of the cases brought to his attention, nine out of ten were found to lack credibility after thorough investigation.
Recalling his initial reaction to the reports, Iren said he was often furious and ready to take action against the accused. However, he explained that further examination of these cases often revealed inconsistencies or misleading claims. In one notable instance, a woman who had initially claimed assault later described the experience in a private chat as “a nice time.”
“In this ministry, nine out of ten cases where women said they were sexually assaulted ended up false,” Iren stated. “The first few cases, I was angry. I called the guy and swore I would jail him until he sent me the evidence.”
Iren also pointed out that the end of a relationship should not be misused as grounds for making assault allegations. He suggested that some of the claims stemmed more from emotional fallouts than from actual misconduct.
He used the opportunity to caution young men in the church about understanding and respecting consent. Emphasising that consent must be continuous and can be withdrawn at any time, he advised: “Initial consent isn’t total consent. Run for your life if consent is withdrawn 10 seconds after granting it. I don’t know who raised some men!”
