Nine of Matawalle’s Children Set to Wed on Same Day in Abuja
The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, is set to conduct the marriage ceremonies of nine of his children on the same day.
Matawalle, a former governor of Zamfara State, is married to four wives: Aisha, Balkisu, Fatima and Dadiya.
Details of the event were contained in a general invitation circulated by Dan Jafaru Aleengoo Turakee, which announced that the weddings will take place on February 6, 2026, at the Central Mosque, Abuja.
Separate invitations identified some of the couples. Nana Bello Matawalle is to be married to the former Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya. Ibrahim Sahabi Liman will wed Farida Bello Matawalle, while Safiya Bello Matawalle is set to marry Yazid Shehu Dan Fulani. Another ceremony will join Umar Ibrahim Danmaliki and Aisha Bello Matawalle.
Further details on the remaining marriages were not included in the invitations sighted.
