“Nigerians Will Vote for Me Massively If I Contest Presidency” – Wike
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, says he is confident of securing overwhelming support from Nigerians if he decides to run for president.
Wike made the remark on Monday during a media chat with selected journalists, stating that he remains popular among citizens across the country.
According to him, his record in public service positions him strongly for higher office. He referenced his tenure as governor of **Rivers State** and his current responsibilities in the FCT, arguing that his performance would speak for itself in any national contest.
The minister added that he maintains strong connections with ordinary Nigerians, which he believes would translate into broad electoral support.
He also addressed the recently concluded council elections in the Federal Capital Territory, expressing confidence that his political allies would prevail again if the polls were repeated.
Wike did not confirm whether he intends to formally enter the presidential race.
