Nigerians now enjoy over 18hours electricity daily – Power Minister
The Minister of Power, Sale Mamman in an interview with the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), has said that the Buhari Administration has done very well to improve the Power sector, as Nigerians now enjoy 18 to 24 hours of electricity daily.
He stated that, the Federal Government had improved 132 substations all round the country and that the 40MW Kashimbilla station has been completed.
He further stated that, “Before now, Nigeria had less than 3,000MW of capacity generation, but today, we can generate up to 5,500MW capacity. Although, we cannot transmit everything due to some constraints.
He also confirmed that, work on the Zungeru station in Niger State had reached 70% completion stage.
