Nigerian Skit Maker Reportedly Dies During Video Shoot

Nigerian skit maker Churchill met an untimely demise while attempting a stunt for one of his video creations. The incident, which occurred on January 18, 2024, was captured in a viral video that circulated online.

The footage depicts the ill-fated moment when Churchill leaped in an effort to touch a basketball net, only to tragically fall and strike his head on the ground. Eyewitnesses quickly rushed him to the hospital, where, despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to the injuries sustained during the incident.

#LadyResa, an Instagram user and Churchill’s former schoolmate at Nasarawa State University, revealed in a conversation with Punch Online that the skit maker had been bedridden with a neck collar following the accident. Unfortunately, he couldn’t overcome the internal injuries and passed away last Sunday.

Friends, fans, and netizens have been expressing their grief on various platforms, including the online community X. Many have conveyed their condolences and shared their sorrow over the loss of the talented skit maker.

This unfortunate incident adds to a series of losses within the entertainment industry, following the deaths of Nollywood actress and skit maker Favour Daniels in a boat accident last year and Port Harcourt skit maker Bros Jay Kay in a fatal motor accident.
