Nigerian Man Calls Off Wedding After Discovering Fiancée’s Alleged Affair with Catholic Priest

A Nigerian man, Nwandu Chibuike, has called off his upcoming wedding after alleging that his fiancée was involved in a sexual relationship with a Catholic priest. The wedding, which was scheduled to take place on August 2, 2025, has now been officially cancelled.

Chibuike made the announcement publicly, claiming that the affair continued even after both families had completed the traditional marriage introduction. He also alleged that he has a recorded confession from his fiancée admitting to the relationship.

“It should have taken place on the 2nd of August 2025 but is now been cancelled because I discovered that she was still in an active sexual relationship with her rev father, even after the introduction,” he wrote. “I have her confession on tape,” he added.

The names of the fiancée and the priest have not been publicly disclosed, and the Church has not issued a response regarding the allegations.
