Nigerian Embassy suspends security official involved in sexual misconduct

Following a viral video, senior security staff at the Nigerian Embassy in Germany has been suspended for allegedly soliciting sex in exchange for processing her travel documents.

The man, referred to as “Mr. Martin” was caught unawares in his briefs and continued to plead with his surprise visitor who accused him of several such acts in the past.

The embassy promptly announced Mr. Martin’s suspension pending the time the issue is duly investigated as confirmed by Nigeria’s Ambassador in Germany.

He said the following in a statement: “We have a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse of office and especially of sexual misconduct. Our full resources are being deployed to investigate a very serious incident and any other abuses that this inquiry may reveal.

“The investigation is taking place with all the urgency and diligence that this very serious situation demands.“

When due process is complete, any guilty party can expect to face the law.
