Nigerian Doctor Found D3ad in Ohio Lake on Christmas Day
A missing Nigerian doctor, Dr. Cletus Iwuagwu, 71, was found d3ad in a lake in Holland, Ohio, on Christmas Day. Dr. Iwuagwu had been reported missing by his family on November 25 after he was last seen the previous evening at around 8 p.m. in his office. Authorities said he was wearing a white shirt and a blue shirt when he disappeared.
The Lucas County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the body was recovered from Orchard Lake near Stone Oak Country Club on December 25 by the Springfield Fire Department, working with the sheriff’s office. The cause and manner of d3ath are still under investigation, though the coroner’s office does not currently suspect foul play. An autopsy is scheduled for December 26.
Dr. Iwuagwu was a professor at the University of Toledo Medical Center in the College of Medicine and Life Sciences Department of Medicine and also served as a geriatric medicine physician at UToledo Health. The university had previously described him as a well-respected physician and expressed hope for his safe return while authorities investigated his disappearance.
