Meet Hon. Chidozie Okoye (Oba Ikpeamaego Enugu-Ukwu na Umunri)

In every generation, there are men and women whose lives are dedicated to serving others and making the world a better place. One such person is Hon. Chidozie Charles Okoye, popularly known by his chieftaincy title “Oba Ikpeamaego Enugu-ukwu na Umunri”.

Born and raised in Owerri, his story is one of steady steps and hard work. From the dusty classrooms of Shell Camp Primary School to Government Secondary School, Hon. Chidozie was the boy who carried big dreams in a small bag. Those dreams later took him to Imo State University where he studied Microbiology, and eventually across the ocean to Washington D.C., where he earned degrees in Business Administration and Information Systems, finishing with a Master’s in Information Systems.

Today, he works as a Cybersecurity consultant specializing in National Security Systems, Risk Management, and Digital Resilience. Beyond these achievements is a heart that truly cares about the people.

For Hon. Chidozie, being great is not about what you get, but what you give. Through quiet acts of generosity and strong commitment to community development, he has touched many lives, particularly the vulnerable and forgotten – giving hope where it seems lost.

His guiding principle is simple: every individual deserves dignity, to feel safe, and to have the opportunity to thrive.

Those whose paths have crossed his describe him as a man of compassion and justice, someone who never shies away from improving the lives of others.

As we continue to seek leaders who serve with integrity and vision, Hon. Chidozie Charles Okoye, Oba Ikpeamaego Enugu-ukwu na Umunri, stands as an inspiring example of what it means to care for the people.
