Man Kills Neighbour Who Tried to Stop Him From Taking His Own Life

Takinta, a fishing community in the Jomoro Municipality of Ghana’s Western Region, has been shaken by the killing of a resident who attempted to prevent his neighbour from committing suicide.

The deceased, identified as Cosmos Ndah, was attacked and killed by his neighbour, Nya Meah, according to a report by the Daily Guide Network.

Residents said Meah had earlier told people in the area that he was tired of life and intended to take his own life. Witnesses said he later locked himself in his room and repeated the threat.

After hearing about the situation, Ndah reportedly went to Meah’s house to speak with him and persuade him to abandon the plan. During the encounter, a confrontation broke out.

Eyewitnesses said Meah attacked Ndah with a machete, inflicting fatal injuries.

Police have arrested the suspect and taken over the case. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.Own Life
