“Let Him Go Ahead” – Natasha Dares Akpabio to Sue Her Over Death Threat Allegations

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has challenged Senate President Godswill Akpabio to take legal action against her following her allegation that he plotted her assassination. Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television, the lawmaker representing Kogi Central in the National Assembly stated that she is aware of Akpabio’s intention to sue her and welcomes the lawsuit.

“I am hearing that the Senate President wants to sue me for that. I will tell him to go ahead. We will meet and cross that bridge,” she said.

Earlier this week, Akpoti-Uduaghan alleged that Akpabio had contracted former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello to orchestrate both her recall from the Senate and her assassination. She made these claims while addressing supporters at a rally in Ihima, Kogi Central.

According to her, Akpabio initially approached Kogi’s current governor, Usman Ododo, to facilitate her recall. However, Ododo reportedly declined, stating that such a move would be impossible due to her strong public support. She then claimed that Akpabio turned to Bello, promising to finance both the recall and an alleged assassination plot.

“It was Senator Asuquo who drove Yahaya Bello to the Hiltons. I was informed,” she stated. “The meeting had two parts. First, he told him to begin my recall, and he was going to fund it. Money changed hands that day. Second, he instructed him to kill me.”

She further alleged that Akpabio specifically instructed that any attack should not take place in Abuja but in Kogi State to make it appear as though the people were responsible.

While responding to questions about proof for her claims, Akpoti-Uduaghan pointed to the recall process as evidence, stating, “If you are doubting the veracity of the killing, what about the recall that we just experienced? Let us get to that bridge.”
