Leaked Letter Reveals How Akpabio Plans to Rig Elections For APC In Akwaibom State

A letter reportedly from the office of the Senator representing Akwaibom North West in the National Assembly, Godswill Akpabio detailing ways to rig the forthcoming general elections in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwaibom state has emerged.

The letter, a copy of which was obtained by SK’s Blog, dated November 15,2018, personally signed by Senator Akpabio and addressed to the Chief of Staff of President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr. Abba Kyari titled, ” Gratitude for your Marvelous Support to Akwaibom APC”, thanked Mr Kyari for his support towards the party in the state. In the letter, Akpabio notified the chief of staff that he has acquired 79 hectares of land in Ikono and Ini Local government areas both in his senatorial district for the establishment of cattle settlements that will be disguised as veterinary hospitals in order not to attract attention of unsuspecting indigenes of the state.

Akpabio in suggesting ways to win the state for the APC in both the presidential and governorship elections requested from the chief of staff, full deployment of security operatives in PDP strongholds, a move according to him that will ensure suppression of votes in those areas. The former Akwaibom state governor further requested the full cooperation of officials of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by ensuring copies of the result sheets are released to him two days to the elections and unfettered access to uncollected Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) in the state to enable him rig the elections in favour of the APC.

Akpabio assured Mr. Kyari that he will capture the state for the party at all “cost”.
