Lagos to Abuja Dana Flight Faces Terrifying Engine Failure, Prompting Emergency Abort

In a harrowing incident on Wednesday, passengers aboard a Dana flight from Lagos to Abuja found themselves in a state of panic as the aircraft aborted take-off due to a faulty engine.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud explosion as the plane prepared for take-off, prompting the Pilot-in-Command to take immediate action and abort the departure. Many passengers are now stranded at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2).

One distressed passenger shared their account, stating, “The Captain was trying to manage the situation, but the report we had was that the plane lost its two engines. We had two explosions, and the plane lost two engines. It was God that saved us; it would have been a big disaster.”

As of now, the grounded plane has left passengers in a state of uncertainty, with no clear communication or efforts observed from the airline. The affected flight, 9J335, originally scheduled for 10:15, has yet to see any resolution, leaving passengers frustrated and concerned about the lack of action.

Despite complaints lodged with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), passengers allege that no tangible steps have been taken to address the situation. The stranded passengers are left in limbo, awaiting updates on the status of the flight and hoping for swift intervention to resolve this alarming situation.
