Lagos Man Arraigned for Allegedly Breaking Into Woman’s Apartment, Touching Her Breast Without Consent

 

A Lagos businessman, Ahmed Ajibade, 29, has been arrested and arraigned for allegedly breaking into a woman’s apartment and sexually assaulting her. The incident, according to police reports, took place on April 29, 2025, at 171 Prince Oniru Ademola Street, Oniru, Lekki. Ajibade is accused of unlawfully entering the residence of Miss Pedro and touching her breasts and other private parts without her consent. He allegedly attempted to remove her clothing before she raised an alarm. Neighbours, responding to her cries, intervened and detained the suspect before alerting the Divisional Police Officer of Maroko Division, CSP Raji Ganiyu. Officers were dispatched to the scene and Ajibade was taken into custody.

 

Following investigations led by Inspector Racheal Anthony, Ajibade was charged before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, sitting at Tinubu, Lagos Island, on two counts relating to forcible entry and sexual assault. Prosecutor Cyriacus Osuji stated that the defendant’s actions contravened Sections 264(1)(2) and 263(1)(2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. Ajibade pleaded not guilty. Chief Magistrate Mrs Gbajumo Ayoku granted him bail in the sum of ₦300,000 with two sureties in like amount and ordered his remand at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility pending fulfillment of the bail conditions. The case has been adjourned to May 7, 2025, for mention.
