Lagos Banker Goes Missing After Work, Family, Police Launch Search
The family of 26-year-old banker Osemudiamen Idemudia has raised serious concerns following his unexplained disappearance while returning home from work in Lagos. Osemudiamen, who works in the Point-of-Sale unit of a bank, was last seen on the evening of Friday, May 9, 2025.
According to his father, Julius Idemudia, Osemudiamen left his office in Ikota that morning and, along with a colleague, headed to the bank’s headquarters in CMS, Lagos Island, for a scheduled meeting with a senior staff member. However, the meeting was canceled upon their arrival, and the two colleagues parted ways to return home separately. Osemudiamen was expected to take a bus to Iyana Ipaja and then another to Igando, where he lives, but he never arrived.
The family became alarmed after 24 hours of no contact, prompting them to report the disappearance to the Igando Police Station, near the Akesan area. Efforts are currently underway to engage the bank’s Chief Security Officer to assist in the investigation. The family is deeply worried about Osemudiamen’s safety and well-being, describing his disappearance as completely out of character.
