Kwara Police Confirm Abduction of Lawmaker’s Wife, Two Children

The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the abduction of the wife of a sitting lawmaker in the State House of Assembly, Lawal Ayanshola Soliu, and her two children.

The spokesperson for the Kwara State police, Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the incident, but at the time of the report, details remain sketchy. Ajayi has assured the public and concerned parties that comprehensive information regarding the incident will be made available as soon as possible.

The horrifying event unfolded at approximately 10:00 am when armed men, armed with AK-47 rifles, brazenly invaded the Soliu family’s residence in Shao, located in the Moro Local Government of Kwara State. The assailants unleashed a hail of gunfire upon their arrival, causing panic and chaos, before ultimately abducting Lawal Ayanshola Soliu’s wife and their two young children.

Lawal Ayanshola Soliu, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is currently representing the Ipaye/Malete/Olooru Constituency within the Moro Local Government in the Kwara State House of Assembly. This shocking incident has sent shockwaves throughout the state, raising concerns about the security situation and the safety of public officials’ families.

The Kwara State Police Command is working tirelessly to gather more information and ensure the safe return of the abducted victims.
