Kogi Governor Approves N10,000 Monthly Allowance for Pensioners
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, has approved a monthly harmonisation allowance of N10,000 for all pensioners in the state. This decision was made following the presentation of a pension review report by the state’s Head of Civil Service, Mr. Elijah Evenemi.
Governor Ododo reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of senior citizens, acknowledging their contributions during their years of service. He assured pensioners that his government would build on the foundations laid by former Governor Yahaya Bello.
In addition to the allowance, the governor announced that pensioners earning less than N50,000 monthly would be enrolled in the state’s health insurance scheme, benefiting from coverage at both state and local government levels.
