Kenneth Okonkwo, a Political Jester and Mole Planted to Disrupt Us – Labour Party

The Labour Party (LP) has declared that the resignation of Mr. Kenneth Okonkwo, a former member of its 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, was anticipated, identifying him as one of several moles planted to disrupt the party.

The LP’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, stated this in Abuja on Sunday. Ifoh mentioned that Okonkwo’s resignation was not a surprise to the party.

“We also think that his attack on the party’s leader, Peter Obi, is rather unfortunate. However, we will continue to ignore him as his attention-seeking behavior is boundless,” Ifoh said.

He also highlighted recent defections from the party, noting that a former Director General and a former deputy Director General of the party’s presidential campaign organization had both resigned and rejoined the APC. “Today, it is the turn of Mr. Okonkwo, a former APC member who infiltrated our presidential campaign,” he added.

Ifoh criticized these defectors as “political jesters and jobbers whose stomachs are their gods.” He reassured party members that Labour Party remains untroubled by Okonkwo’s departure and wished him well in his future endeavors.

The party spokesman also mentioned the existence of other moles within the party, who are allegedly causing internal strife and attempting to hijack the party for their paymasters.

“We urge them to act fast and do the needful before they are exposed and fumigated out of the party,” Ifoh warned.

Reaffirming the party’s loyalty to its leader, Peter Obi, Ifoh stated that the Labour Party is firmly supporting Obi as its presidential candidate for the 2027 election. “Coordinated attacks will not diminish the trust Nigerians, especially the Obidients and youth, have in him. We believe a new Nigeria is possible with Obi, and Nigerians will speak even louder come 2027,” Ifoh concluded.
