Kebbi Governor Says Buhari Has Turned Nigeria’s Economy Around and Made the Country Safer than it Was Years Ago
Kebbi state Governor, Atiku Bagudu, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has fulfilled all his campaign promises.
Bagudu in a Sallah message on Friday said the president has turned the economy around and made the country safer than it was years ago.
“On security, there are increasing efforts by the security agencies to bolster peace and security in the nation.
“Currently, there is no territory of the country that is under the control of insurgents like it was inherited.
“Buhari succeeded in turning around the economy of the country, as he pledged.
“Buhari had successfully delivered on all the three cardinal promises which he promised during his 2015 campaign.
“Kebbi State has also remained one of the most peaceful states” he said.
Bagudu claims came in the midst of rising insecurity across the country and a day after Governor of Borno state, Prof. Babagana Zulum, had threatened to mobilize local hunters and vigilantes to recapture Baga town in the state from Boko Haram insurgents if the military fails to do so.
“After Sallah, we will go back to Kukawa. We we will give time to the military; but if they will not clear Baga, we will mobilise our hunters and vigilantes to recapture Baga… we can’t continue like this. People have take their destiny in their hands” Zulum said.
