Kano Hisbah Board’s Facebook Page Hacked, Nude Photos, Porn Videos Posted
The official Facebook page of the Kano State Hisbah Board was taken over by hackers who posted nude pictures and pornographic videos, sparking outrage and concern among the public.
The breach, discovered late on Wednesday, led to the dissemination of explicit material that stands in stark contrast to the board’s moral policing mandate. The incident has raised serious questions about the security of sensitive online platforms.
Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, Commander General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, confirmed the attack and assured that the board’s ICT department is working diligently to restore control of the page. He emphasized the importance of community assistance in reporting the page to Meta to prevent further misuse.
“We are in active discussions with Meta to recover our Facebook page and stop the spread of inappropriate content. We appreciate the community’s support and urge everyone to report the page in English to assist in this effort,” Daurawa said.
