Kaka’s Ex-Wife Reveals Surprising Reason for Divorce: He Was ‘Too Perfect’
In a recent revelation, Caroline Celico, the former wife of Brazil and AC Milan football legend Kaka, has disclosed the unexpected reason behind their divorce. The couple, who tied the knot in 2005 and parted ways in 2015, spent a decade together in marriage, blessed with two children.
Despite Kaka’s exemplary behavior and their seemingly idyllic life, Celico expressed her discontent, attributing the split to Kaka’s “perfection.” “Kaka never betrayed me, he treated me well, he gave me a wonderful family, but I was not happy, something was missing,” Celico candidly shared. “The problem was, he was too perfect for me,” she declared.
Celico, once a Brazilian socialite, embraced Kaka’s religious convictions, joining his church and even becoming an Evangelical pastor before stepping down in 2010. Following their separation, Celico embarked on a philanthropic journey, founding the charity Horizontal Love. The organization aims to support Brazilian Non-Governmental Organizations by providing essentials like food, hygiene products, and educational resources.
Moving forward, Celico found love again, marrying Eduardo Scarpa Julião in 2021, with the couple now anticipating their first child. Meanwhile, Kaka also found romantic bliss anew with partner Carolina Dias, whom he began dating in 2017.
Reflecting on his illustrious career, Kaka boasts an impressive list of achievements, including winning nine major trophies. Notable among these are the FIFA World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2005 and 2009. His club career saw triumphs in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League with AC Milan, as well as La Liga success with Real Madrid. Additionally, Kaka was honored as the FIFA World Player of the Year and Ballon d’Or recipient in 2007.
